To that end, if the Client diligently fulfills their responsibilities, which encompass promptly responding to SER emails and phone calls, along with supplying accurate and timely information, such as employer verification, current status, adjusted gross income, tax filing status, and the number of dependents claimed on their taxes, they become eligible for a full refund of 100%. This assurance is contingent upon SER not proceeding with the submission of the Client's consolidation application to the Department of Education.
It's important to note that the compensation for document preparation is earned by SER at the point when the submission of direct consolidation loan paperwork to either the U.S. Department of Education or a designated U.S. Department of Education Servicer is executed on behalf of the Client.

In certain specific scenarios, if a SER staff member has engaged with a client over the phone to assist in the application for a Government-backed program, and it transpires that the client is not approved for the intended program or is directed toward an option that is less favorable or financially onerous, SER is ready to promptly and amicably issue a comprehensive refund to the Client.
